Oriental
Oriental fragrances are those inspired by the scents of the East. Their characteristic notes are spices such as cinnamon, cumin, or clove, often combined with a floral heart of rose, orange blossom and/or jasmine. These notes melt into the balsamic scents of vanilla and certain fragrant resins (frankincense, myrrh, benzoin, opoponax), with woody notes of sandalwood or oud. Many oriental perfumes also contain "animal" notes, such as musk or castoreum, which give them a sensual touch.
