Oud
Oud is a resin secreted by a tree, the agar, when it is contaminated by a certain type of fungus. This resin allows it to fight against the invader and it is very fragrant. Oud, which is used more in luxury perfumery, is highly sought after for its olfactory profile, which varies depending on its origin. Real oud can be smoky, smoky or animalic, unlike synthetic oud which has a dry and pungent side.
