Created in 1989 by Patricia de Nicolaï and her husband Jean-Louis Michau, Nicolaï is one of the very first niche perfume brands. This house that puts the quality of raw materials first, and has a creative process freed from marketing has been developing considerably within the past 30 years. Patricia de Nicolaï, who is a part of the famous perfumers family Guerlain, became a perfumer at a time where perfumers were exclusively men. Her audacity was rewarded many times, namely when she was the first woman to receive the award for the Best Perfumer-Creator in 1988.

The Nicolaï perfumes are created in the back of the Palais Royal boutique in Paris, where Patricia de Nicolaï formulates the fragrances, assisted by her son Axel, who became CEO of the brand in 2014. Entirely produced in France, the Nicolaï creations respect the French traditions and savoir-faire.

Through floral bouquets, ambery scents, and sophisticated compositions, the Nicolaï perfumes are timeless creations, made with rare quality raw materials.
