Fig Perfumes

A fig perfume can carry the freshness of a crushed leaf, the softness of ripe fruit or the scent of fig wood. Perfumers recreate these sensations by pairing green notes, lactones with milky facets and woody notes.

Fig leaf absolute, for its part, is banned under IFRA standards because of its risk of skin sensitization and phototoxicity. A fig accord captures the scent of the fig tree while bringing one facet to the fore: greener, fruitier or creamier.
