The power of scent has always fascinated me. There's something profoundly compelling in it. Aromachologists know it well. Great seducers too.
So, why perfume?
Because it’s a wonderful tool for seduction and for well-being. It's invisible, mysterious, full of delights and surprising effects. But more than that, it invites us to pause, to come back to ourselves.
Perfume is also a whole world captured in a bottle: lush nature, exotic flowers and trees that transport us to faraway places.
Essential oils, precious though they are, often irritate the skin and don’t last.
That’s where the perfumer’s skill comes in — balancing natural ingredients with carefully chosen molecules to create fragrances that are beautiful, long-lasting, and safe to wear.
As perfumer Quentin Bisch so perfectly put it when he received the 2023 Phénix Prize for Best Perfumer:
