Dominique Ropion is the perfumer behind Ysatis for Givenchy, Alien for Thierry Mugler, Flowerbomb for Viktor & Rolf, and, for Frédéric Malle, Portrait of a Lady and Vetiver Extraordinaire. When his collection Aphorismes arrived in Montreal, he spoke with Mario Girard about his craft: a collection made without consumer testing, and the freedom to work with the finest, often costly, natural materials.
